Akcara Studio founder and artist Cara Calvert-Thomas has been creating art since childhood and refers to herself as a serial dabbler in creative pursuits. She works in a variety of both two- and three-dimensional media including acrylic and watercolor painting, ink and charcoal drawing, mixed-media collage, jewelry making, digital art, photography and sculpture. While generally working in a bold color palette, Cara derives most of her inspiration from science, nature and cute animals.
