I am an Indigenous Anishinaabe artist who creates traditional loom beadwork tapestries. I was taught to loom bead by an Elder in my community. I was born and have lived my entire life on the Ancestral and unceded territory of Chawathil First Nation. For the last 4 years I have been a student of Upper River Halq'eméylem language. My pieces often include Halq'eméylem in the titles. All of my pieces are Indigeous oral stories or teachings depicted through patterns and shapes I graph on paper, then bead on my loom into tapestries.
